Rachel Yeates

Rachel is an experienced trial lawyer, having litigated jury trials and bench trials, and represented clients in private arbitrations. She has worked with U.S. and international clients and with businesses of all sizes, from early-stage ventures to publicly traded companies.

Rachel has experience helping clients navigate all types of business disputes, including business torts, shareholder disputes, and trademark infringement. She specializes in securities litigation and disputes in the finance industry. Rachel has experience in SEC enforcement defense as well as with FINRA arbitration, having represented investors and investment advisors in contentious matters and in expungement actions. In addition to her work in traditional finance, Rachel advises clients in the cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi) space. She can assist with regulatory compliance, government investigations and SEC enforcement defense, and civil litigation related to any blockchain application, including cryptocurrency, initial coin offerings (ICOs), utility tokens, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).

She seeks out novel cases and is always expanding her knowledge base to better serve her clients. Her recent coursework includes an accounting course offered through the University of Pennsylvania and an executive education finance course at the University of Cambridge.

Before joining Milgrom & Daskam, Rachel took a sabbatical from the practice of law to travel and write a satirical spy novel. Prior to that, Rachel practiced in civil litigation for eight years, most recently as part of a Chambers- and Benchmark-ranked trial team. Rachel is a graduate of the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of the English Honors Program. Before transferring to the University of Texas, Rachel was a Peabody Scholar at Vanderbilt University.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys going to the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, traveling, and reading military history.
